We pray for receptionists, telephonists and
workers in call centres,
struggling to smile,
sometimes in the face of
abuse.
Let them not be destroyed
by the pressure of keeping a smiling
face,
putting on an act
twenty times an hour.
Lord, bringer of
health and wholeness,
hear our prayer.
